Shibuya is around 40 minutes from Haneda by public transport, one of the quickest airport-to-centre transfers in Tokyo.
Quick answer: Keikyu Line from Haneda to Shinagawa (13 min, 310 yen) then JR Yamanote Line from Shinagawa to Shibuya (12 min, around 170 yen). Total 40 minutes, around 580 yen. Simple, fast, and very cheap.
Option 1: Keikyu Line + JR Yamanote (Best Option)
- Keikyu Line from Haneda Terminal 3 to Shinagawa: 13 minutes, 310 yen
- JR Yamanote Line from Shinagawa to Shibuya: 12 minutes, around 170 yen via Suica
- Total time: Around 30 to 40 minutes, including platform transfer
- Total cost: Around 580 yen
This is one of the quickest and cheapest airport-to-central Tokyo transfers available from either airport. At Shinagawa, follow the signs for the JR gates; it takes 3 to 5 minutes to transfer platforms. Take the Yamanote Line north to Shibuya (two stops).
Option 2: Tokyo Monorail + Yamanote
- Monorail to Hamamatsucho: 18 minutes, 500 yen (JR Pass valid)
- Yamanote to Shibuya: About 23 minutes
- Total: Around 45 minutes, around 700 yen
Option 3: Airport Limousine Bus
Direct buses from Haneda to Shibuya Cerulean Tower and Shibuya Mark City. Journey time is 30 to 50 minutes in normal traffic. Around 1,200 yen. Luggage in the hold. Subject to traffic.
Option 4: Taxi
Around 6,000 to 9,000 yen and 25 to 45 minutes. Practical for groups or late nights.
