teamLab Planets in Toyosu is a walk-through digital art museum where you wade through water, disappear into flowers, and look up into infinite mirrors. Here is the complete guide to tickets, what to expect, and how to get there.
teamLab Planets opened in Toyosu in 2018. Unlike the Borderless venue (which has no fixed route), Planets is a sequenced walkthrough experience with 10 defined artworks to be visited in order. The total visit time is shorter than Borderless, but the individual rooms are more physically immersive. Some rooms require removing shoes, wading through shallow water, and physically entering the artwork.
Tickets
Price: 3,200 yen for adults, 1,000 yen for children (ages 4 to 12), free for those under 4. Prices may be higher on weekends and peak periods.
Booking is strongly recommended: teamLab Planets operates on a timed-entry system and is frequently sold out. Book at least 1-2 weeks in advance for weekends at planets. teamlab. art. Weekday morning slots are the easiest to book on short notice.

The Artworks
Universe of Water Particles (the water room): The most famous artwork and the reason many visitors come specifically to teamLab Planets. You wade through knee-deep water (approximately 10cm deep) while water particle projections cascade around and below your feet. The room is dark. The sensation of being inside a waterfall is genuinely disorienting and beautiful.
Floating Flower Garden: A room where 13,000 orchids fill the space from floor to ceiling, rising and falling in response to the presence of visitors. The flowers physically move upward when you walk beneath them.
Moss Garden of Resonating Microcosms: Moss-covered spheres that glow and ripple with light patterns when touched or approached.
Infinite Crystal Universe: A room of mirrors with suspended LED crystals that create an apparent infinite extension of light in all directions. Interactive: the pattern changes in response to touch on the entry point screen.
The Table: A dining experience integrated into the art installation. A separate booking is required through the teamLab website. Food and drink are served within an evolving seasonal art projection.
What to Wear
Wear clothing that can get splashed. The water room has a water depth of approximately 10cm, and the floor has ripples that occasionally splash higher. Shorts or rolled-up trousers are common. Bringing a small towel is recommended. Bags and shoes are stored in lockers at the entrance. White socks are required throughout, in case you forget yours.
Getting to teamLab Planets
Shin-Toyosu Station on the Yurikamome Line (automated elevated monorail from Shimbashi). 3 minutes’ walk from Shin-Toyosu Station Exit 1. The Yurikamome from Shimbashi takes about 20 minutes. The route passes over Tokyo Bay and is scenic. TeamLab Planets is also within walking distance of the Toyosu Market (about 10 minutes), making a morning market visit combined with an afternoon visit to Planets a natural progression.
teamLab Planets vs teamLab Borderless
TeamLab Planets are smaller, have a fixed route, involve physical immersion (water, movement), and take about 60 to 90 minutes. Borderless is larger, has no route, involves more walking and exploration, and takes 2 to 3 hours. Both are worth doing. If only one is possible, Planets is often preferred for first-time visitors because the sequenced experience makes the impact more concentrated.
