South Korea does not have a visa-free arrangement with China. Chinese passport holders must apply for a South Korean tourist visa before travelling, regardless of trip length or purpose. The application process is well-established, and approval for genuine tourists with complete documentation is routine.
Current status: China is not covered by South Korea’s visa exemption or K-ETA suspension. A standard tourist visa (C-3) is required. Apply at a Korean Embassy or consulate in China or via the Korean Visa Application Center (KVAC) operated by VFS Global.

Chinese tourists visiting South Korea for sightseeing or visiting family require a C-3 short-term visitor visa. This covers stays of up to 90 days and can be single- or multiple-entry.
