- Step 1: From Gimpo Airport arrivals, follow signs to the subway/AREX. Board the Airport Railroad (AREX) All-Stop service toward Seoul Station. Do NOT board the Incheon-bound AREX; confirm direction on the platform display.
- Step 2: Ride AREX two stops to Digital Media City (DMC) Station, about 10 minutes.
- Step 3: Transfer to Seoul Metro Line 2 (green circle line). Take Line 2 two stops toward the City Hall/Euljiro direction to Hongik University Station (Hongdae exit), about 6 minutes.
- Step 4: Exit at Hongik University Station. Exit 9 leads to the main Hongdae street area.
