Option 1: AREX All-Stop Train (Best Option)

From Hongik University Station, most Hongdae accommodation is within 5 to 15 minutes on foot. The station exits (exits 1, 2, and 9) place you in different parts of the neighbourhood. Check your hotel address before selecting an exit.
Note on AREX Express: The faster AREX Express (43 min, 9,500 won) does NOT stop at Hongdae it runs non-stop to Seoul Station. For Hongdae, always take the All-Stop service.
Option 2: Airport Limousine Bus
Bus route 6002 runs from Incheon Airport to the Sinchon/Hongdae area, with stops in the district. Journey time is 70 to 100 minutes, depending on traffic. Cost around 10,000 won. Convenient for heavy luggage but subject to traffic delays. Buy at the Limousine Bus counter in arrivals.
Option 3: Taxi
Around 55,000 to 75,000 won and 60 to 90 minutes. Only practical for groups splitting the cost. For most Hongdae travellers, the AREX All-Stop is so convenient that there is little reason to consider a taxi.
