June in Korea is a transitional month: warm, increasingly humid, and marked by the arrival of the Korean rainy season (jangma) in mid to late June. Mid-June (16 to 22)
The jangma (Korean rainy season) typically begins in mid-June. Highs of 25 to 29 degrees. Increased humidity (60 to 75%). Intermittent heavy rain interspersed with clear periods.
Late June (23 to 30)
Highs of 26 to 30 degrees. Lows of 20 to 23 degrees. Full rainy season. Frequent showers, sometimes heavy. Pack a waterproof jacket or a small umbrella. The rain in Korea is not constant: rain tends to come in bursts followed by clear intervals.
The Korean Rainy Season (Jangma)
Jangma is the Korean equivalent of the East Asian monsoon, typically running from mid-June to mid-July. The rainfall is not continuous: Korea does not have the constant grey drizzle of, say, the UK. Instead, heavy rain falls in concentrated bursts, sometimes very heavy, interspersed with clear or partly cloudy periods. A waterproof layer and compact umbrella handle most jangma conditions. Early June: Outdoor Korea

Later June: Indoor Seoul
