Seoul Sky is the observation deck complex on floors 117 to 123 of Lotte World Tower, the tallest building in Korea at 555 metres. Here is the complete guide to tickets, the glass floor experience, and how to get there.
Lotte World Tower opened in 2017 and is the fifth-tallest building in the world by roof height. The Seoul Sky observation deck occupies the top floors with a sky bridge walkway, a glass-floored sky observatory, and an outdoor observation area at 500 metres. The views from here are broader than any other observation deck in the country.
Tickets
Price: 29,000 won for adults, 25,000 won for teenagers (aged 13 to 18), 22,000 won for children (aged 3 to 12). Prices are higher on weekends and public holidays.
Booking: Available through the Seoul Sky official website (seoulsky.lotteworld.com) and through ticketing platforms, including Klook. Online booking is slightly cheaper and avoids queuing at the counter. Bookingg is recommended on weekends.
Opening hours: 10:30 am to 10 pm, Monday to Thursday. 10:30 am to 10:30 pm Friday and Saturday. Last entry 30 minutes before closing.
The Observation Deck Experience
Sky Observatory (117F): The main observatory level with 360-degree views. Telescopes are available. The Han River, Namsan and N Seoul Tower, the northern mountains, and on clear days, the city extending to the horizon in every direction.
Sky Glass Observatory: A glass-floored section at the observatory level,l where the floor beneath your feet is transparent to the street 500 metres below. The experience of standing on the glass floor directly above the Jamsil streetscape is genuinely vertiginous. Not for those with a severe fear of heights.
Sky Bridge (118F): A walkway between two sections of the observatory level with glass walls and floor. The sky bridge offers additional views of the Han River to the south.
Top Cloud (121F to 123F): A restaurant and bar on the upper floors that rotates 360 degrees. Entry to Top Cloud replaces the observatory ticket—reservations required for dining. Drinks can be ordered without a full reservation, subject to availability.
Best Time to Visit
Sunset: The most popular time to visit. The view from 555 metres at sunset over the Han River and the city basin is exceptional. Book the slot 30 to 45 minutes before sunset. Check sunset times for your specific date.
Clear days: Morning visits on clear days (particularly October to February) give the cleanest long-distance views. The summer haze reduces visibility significantly.
Night: The full illumination of Seoul from this height is spectacular. The Jamsil and Gangnam neon, the Han River bridges lit up, and the spread of the city to every horizon.
Getting There
Jamsil Station on Lines 2 and 8. Exit 1 is connected directly to the Lotte World complex. The Lotte World Tower is part of the same complex as Lotte World theme park. Allow time to navigate from the station to the tower entrance and up to the observatory floors—about 15 minutes in total.
